UDOT Final Decision Document: Bangerter Highway
Posted: May 30, 2026The Utah Department of Transportation has published the final State Environmental Study (SES) Decision Document for the Bangerter Highway corridor between 4100 South and California Avenue. The document establishes the engineering strategy to convert the corridor into a freeway by replacing at-grade intersections with grade-separated interchanges. Technical adjustments from the draft study include the relocation of the 3970 South pedestrian crossing toward 4100 South and revised access routes for commercial properties. The document formally establishes the Right-of-Way (ROW) boundaries and property acquisition requirements. The initial construction phase will prioritize the segment from 4100 South to Parkway Boulevard (2700 South).
